"A client-centred practice assisting individuals to access and engage in leisure and recreational experiences - for improved health, function, quality of life, and to achieve goals"
About me + Who is TR&LS?
I am genuinely passionate about supporting individuals to achieve their goals, enhance their independence, and live their lives to the fullest. With a strong background in healthcare, I take a person-centered approach to empower clients, helping them build confidence, develop skills, and improve their overall quality of life.
My mission is to provide tailored, evidence-based services in a compassionate and supportive environment. I believe in the power of therapeutic leisure and recreation intervention to inspire positive change and foster resilience in everyday life.
Whether it’s through leisure, recreation, social inclusion activities or other personalised therapy, I am committed to helping each client unlock their potential and achieve meaningful outcomes that align with their unique needs and aspirations.
My tertiary qualifications include a Bachelor of Health Science (Therapeutic Recreation) completed in 2005, which is recognized by the Australian Recreation Therapy Association (ARTA).
I have nearly 20 years of experience in Leisure and Recreation Therapy across diverse public, private, and tertiary healthcare settings. My career spans working with NSW Health and QLD Health in areas such as rehabilitation, aged care (including psycho-geriatric and dementia-specific care), paediatrics/children’s health services, acute mental health and addictions.
Let’s work together to create opportunities for growth, connection, and improved health and wellbeing!
